After a busy few weeks with the Inertia Projects team in Melbourne, we are proud of our efforts to successfully complete another quality D&C fitout project for the Coles Group, this time at their Transport Office in their busy Distribution Centre in Laverton, Victoria.

Similar to the fitout works completed by Inertia Projects at the Coles DC in Kewdale (WA), this interstate project was once again fast-tracked to meet a super compressed program. With a big effort by our local and interstate contractors, we managed to complete the fitout works in only 23 days and handed over the project one day early, with zero defects. A great achievement by all of our local and interstate contractors.

The project involved gutting the existing Transport Office and completely refurbishing the space (and services) to create a fresh new open-plan environment for the Toll and Coles transport teams. The newly refurbished space will benefit both Coles and Toll by promoting internal collaboration between business units and increasing operational efficiencies, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It was a pleasure working with the Coles Group on another important project.

With only 12 days left, Inertia Projects remain on track to meet the super tight 3.5 – week Program and complete the works by 17 May 2019.

We love a challenge and as the PC deadline cannot be extended, Inertia’s staff and contractors are working around the clock to do what we do best – deliver projects in record time, without sacrificing quality or compromising safety, no matter what state we are working in.
